commonly known as Banasthali
Vidyapeeth
is situated near Tonk district in Newai. It is 72kms south-west from
Jaipur city. Banasthali was founded by Pandit Hiralal Shastri ji, in
fond memory of her daughter Shanta Bai. The
Shanta Bai Shiksha Kutir
was started with an aim of uplifting the women of the society,
imparting her right to education. Banasthali Vidyapeeth aims to
impart knowledge through Panchshiksha i.e. imparting knowledge
Physically, Practically, Morally, Intellectually and Aesthetically.
The
University gained the status of deemed University in the year 1983,
with Prof. Sushila Vyas as the first Director of the University. The
University believes in imparting education from the Primary level to
Doctoral level. The University has the best of infrastructure and
facilities, 30 hostels in the campus each with a mess, newspaper,
telephone facilities. Sports ground for different games and
functions, auditorium, Staff quarters, vegetable and food market and
all major bank ATM outlets.
